Delay In Appearing URL Entry On Safari Address Bar
Jul 15, 2012
Each time I enter a URL address into the address bar of the page opened through Safari on my iPad 2, the second letter typed will appear several seconds after the first letter. This causes much delay in redirecting to the page specified in the URL address. How to avoid such delay?
I recently bought a new iPad and it started to go haywire right away. I took it back to the Apple store and it was exchanged for a new one. As soon as I recovered the iPad from iCloud, I started to get promted for a password for an e-mail i don't recognize:[URL] I don't allow anyone to use my iPad and somehow I got this e-mail address on my iPad. Is it possible that I've been hacked?
Unknown Email Address For AppleID Appearing On Restore
Jan 8, 2012
I restored my iPad2 from iCloud for the hell of it today. After it restarted and started to download the apps I was of course prompted for my AppleID, I entered it and a few minutes later the prompt appeared again... this time however in the username field was an email address of someone from the UK with a hotmail.co.uk address, after I edited it out it told me that I wasn't in the US store and it switched to it.
This is bizarre as I've never had anyone else use their AppleID with this, I've never used the UK iTunes store or have even been to the UK for that matter.
Safari Unable To Recognizing Some Text Entry Fields
Aug 22, 2010
I have noticed that there are some instances where Safari and other browsers don't recognize a field on a web page as being one for data entry. I run a number of websites using the Joomla content management system and the editor for entering content is a wysiwyg editor. When the editor is in the wysiwyg mode, Safari, Eyebrowse, and iCab do not recognize that I can type into the editor. If I toggle the wysiwyg mode, I can enter data with no problem.I have tested 5 different editors plugins, and each has the same result. I have a work around for the time being, and have put in a bug report to Apple. Has anyone else had a similar problem and has anyone found a solution?Information : 2 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini, iPad 3G 64GB Mac OS X (10.6.3) 2 GB RAM.
How do i stop these itune app ads appearing relentlessly and closing down my safari. I do not browse for apps in my browser i have never had any remote interest in any of the fantasy apps that keep popping up. I have turned off Java script in my settings to no avail
Bookmarks URL Not Appearing On Safari After ICloud Sync
Jul 31, 2012
I have categorized bookmarks into different folders on my PC for retrieving them easily. As I want them on my iPad, I have recently sync all those folders through iCloud. Even though the folder does appear on my iPad, I cant get the bookmark URL while opening Safari. How can I bookmark it?
Safari on my iPad 2 seems to be greyed out as I can only read the contents instead of typing anything to the search field available. How to get the edit option re-activated?
Can Stop 'Recent Searches' From Appearing In A New Tab In Safari
Mar 19, 2012
Whenever I hit the + to create a new tab in Safari, the cursor goes to the search field in the new tab, and up pops my recent search history for all to see. I was showing off my new iPad in a work meeting and my search history kept presenting itself. Last night a friend and I were looking up beers at a bar, so that was the entirety of what was seen. Could have been worse, like 'foot fungus cures' etc...
If I am on a website using safari, how can I copy that URL so I can then paste the address in a file or email to somebody? I've found a webpage I like and would like to tell a friend to check it out.
I thought I read thatbthe address bar in Safari disappears once the page loads, like on the iPhone. This isn't the case apparently, unless it's in the settings somewhere? Would be nice to free up some more screen space.
Also would like the address at the bottom, easier to access I thinkmthan at the top of the screen.
Safari Crashes Right After Clicking On Address Bar
Jun 30, 2012
There is no issue in browsing websites through Safari on my iPad 2. But the Safari gets crashed whenever I touch on the address bar. Why is this issue happening and how to avoid the same?
I have 3rd gen iPad. As soon as I got it out of the box and configured it, Safari crashes. It was all factory settings and no other apps were installed. So I contact support and they do an exchange. I got the new one today. Opened the box, set it up, clicked on Safari and it opens up. Clicked on the address bar....same thing...CRASH! This is terrible quality for a product that you pay way too much money for. I am a die hard Apple fan, but this is absurd. What happened to Quality Control? I was shocked when I received the first defective product, but to receive two is appalling!
how to hide the toolbar and address bar that shows when launching a iPad web app on the iPad? My web app works well on the iPad testing via Dashcode/MobileMe; rotation as well. I also have the icon saved on the iPad screen (a simple "Save to my Home Screen").
